Faith

So, before I jump into what I wanted to talk about, let me tell you a little of what led up to this.  Friends of my parents had a baby.  Her name is Scarlett Grace.  They took her in for her 8 week check up, and long story short, found out she had a fast growing tumor on her brain.  They told them that she had a week to two weeks left, and they should go home and wait.  Not news you want hear.  Brandi and Chris didn't feel like just sitting there watching their baby die while they did nothing to try to stop it, so they went to another hospital, an this Doctor said because of where the tumor is, they could operate and try to get it out.  They warned them that this was a very risky, 20 hour surgery, but these two were willing to do anything to possibly save their baby.  So, Scarlett went through the surgery, and they got 85% of it out, and decided to stop because she was losing too much blood.  Then, they went back a couple days later, and got all of the tumor out, down to the microscopic level!!  They are home now, and last night there was a charity event for Scarlett.  I got to meet her, and she really is such a beautiful little gift from God.
So, at this charity event last night, my mom and Scarlett's grandma were talking. As I was listening in on this conversation, something Teri said really caught my attention.

"It is easy to have faith when things are going good"

This made me cry a little bit. But, you know what, it is so true.  When things are going great, ya, sure, God is here, obviously.  Look at all that I have right now and how great it is going.  But, when something like this happens, you really have your doubts.  It's really hard to trust that everything is going to turn out ok.  Not just in this situation, but in all of them.  And look, everything turned out ok.  Scarlett is now 15 weeks old, and 11 pounds!!!  But, even in those times when things don't turn out the way you think they should, something you have to ALWAYS remember is, God has a plan, and his plans never fail.
